End of the semester

It is end. Student unluckily are absent and there is no chance I apply what I have planned to do.
I really wanted to see how my plan would go and how can I improve it. In my report, I tried to estimate what would happen.
Today I read about coding and the our students need to leand how to code in the school. I think it is a good idea to learn how to code.

Project

I have a class of 19 ten years. My plan for the project is to focus on low achievers, we have only two weeks of school. I will buy an ipad and I will download some phonetics apps that will help my students to read a little by little.

Interactive ppt and lectures

I love conducting workshops and lectures. I used my techniques to capture audience attention:
1- a critical thinking question
2- an easy question related to their experience
3- an activity ( usually group activity)

I think what is most important is the good use of whatever materials you have. I have noticed that some lecturer prepare too much but use very little and they use them poorly.
It is good to know your audience first and choose the best for them.

I also like powerpoint shows and games, the matter is the I have to book the LRC ( Learning Resource Center)

Technology plan

I am sorry for missing two weeks of the course, I feel lost somehow. However I will try to cope with the tasks for this week.
I am teaching this term, I am planning to use Powerpoint as interactive tool and help my students understand grammar more, I tried this before but this time I want to use this program to the fullest.

Delicious

It is the first time I know about delicious. It is a great website to keep my links safe.

This week I was busy with my things to do. I had to work on two workshops, a research paper and a presentation. However by the end of this week, i tried to find time to finish the tasks and explore some webistes. I like the starfall website. It is fun and attractive for the kids. I will try to help my students explore it.

Educational search engine

I always keep looking for some educational search engine where I can find worksheets, exercises.. Exc.

If anyone can help me with that?!

Search engine

Today was really very hectic but it was special and I enjoyed exploring the different search engines rather than google.
The first web search I used was Noodle but I could not connect to it for some unknown reason, maybe it is banned in my country. The other engined was Ask, I think I heard about it but have never used except today. I have never thought that there are some kids search engine which is very useful for parents and kids.

Saturday

The first day of the week, to be honest not very excited.
We are planning to an English Day in the school and no one seems interested except me. I really want to have a great day. I spend more time with my iphone nowadays, i try to login to different websites and try to write a blog O.o
I hope that I will benefit from it.

first blog... maybe

it seems that I had a blog before which I do not remember. I think I tried then I hated it that is why.
I am a pen and a notebook kind of person. I do not know how I will be different. I am a scientific person too, I mean I  do not like writing too much.

I really want to learn and use some the techniques definitely not with my students but with myself, since my students have no internet connection, some of the do, but not all, so it will be difficult.

I am very excited to start this course, I have great expectations. I may not be able to use some ways with my students, but I do my best that other teachers do. Technology always fascinates me and I want to know and use all apps that are good in teaching and even personal use.
